FACT Dining Awards in Dubai
The fifth annual FACT Dining Awards Dubai ceremony was held live at the Palazzo Versace Dubai on Tuesday 23 November. 87 awards were presented in 43 categories, encompassing more than 400 nominees and 60,000 online public votes!
250 guests enjoyed a convivial evening of canapés, free-flow drinks and live entertainment at La Piscine in the glamorous Palazzo Versace Dubai.
Excellent performance
The FACT Dining Awards recognize excellence in the food and beverage industry, with winners being chosen based on public voice and critic opinion. Each category received two awards, Best and Favorite.
An incredible 60,000 unique voices in Dubai
The latter is the result of a popular decision made through online voting, and the former is the critics’ decision, chosen by the FACT editorial team and an independent panel of industry experts.
This year, a whopping 60,000 unique votes were cast online by guests in Dubai. Notable awards included Best Newcomer – Fine Dining, presented to Mimi Kakushi at Four Seasons Resort Dubai on Jumeirah Beach, while Favorite Newcomer – Fine Dining went to Carna by Dario Cecchini at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences. The “Best Restaurant in Dubai” for 2021 went to the always innovative Trèsind Studio in VOCO Dubai.
A number of independent and local eateries also received awards, namely Indochine for Best Pan Asian, Alici at Bluewaters Dubai for Best Seafood, Hōseki at Bvlgari Resort Dubai for Best Japanese – Fine Dining and LPM Restaurant & Bar for “Best French – Fine Dining”.
